INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF A SILVERCONTAINING SORBENT ON ERYTHROCYTES OF ERYTHROCYTE MASS DURING IN VITRO PERFUSION

  1. Morphological parameters of erythrocytes practically remain unchanged after contact with
    sorbents.
    (thickness, diameter, volume, surface, hemoglobin content and concentration
  2. Within the norm, there is a slight change in the functional parameters associated with the
    anion exchanger – the band 3 (B3) protein, which removes carbon dioxide from red blood cells (in the form of
    the HCO3 anion, this process limits the entire oxygen exchange in the body).
  3. Al2O3@PDMS/Ag increases all indicators (by 1.2-1.4 times) compared to the sorbent without
    silver, including the ultimate extensibility of the erythrocyte membrane (MCER). The increase in parameters
    relative to the original blood is slightly less (1.1 times), but the ultimate extensibility increases more
    significantly (2.2 times).
  4. The introduction of silver into the sorbent does not have a traumatic effect on the
    morphofunctional parameters of erythrocytes of donor blood under perfusion conditions – all parameters of
    erythrocytes are within normal limits.
