Foci of contractures of I-III degrees, myocytolysis of<br \/>\ncardiomyocytes were observed in the myocardium. Intracellular lipid inclusions were<br \/>\ndetected in cardiomyocytes. In the zona glomerulosa of the adrenal cortex, dilated lumens of<br \/>\nblood capillaries, the presence of large lipid droplets in cortical adrenalocyte and necrosis of<br \/>\nindividual cells were revealed. The medulla was characterized by medullary cells swelling<br \/>\nand destructive changes, significantly enlarged of blood capillaries lumens. In the zona<br \/>\nreticularis of the adrenal cortex, swelling of cortical adrenalocyte, accumulations of<br \/>\nerythrocytes, lymphocytes and plasma cells, and large lipid droplets in the lumen of<br \/>\ncapillaries were observed. The most pronounced structural changes were noted in the zona<br \/>\nfasciculate of the adrenal cortex. The heterogeneity of cortical adrenalocyte of the content<br \/>\nof lipid inclusions was revealed. Cells with a small amount of lipid droplets, medium and<br \/>\nhypertrophied cells with a large amount of lipids in the cytoplasm were observed. Signs of<br \/>\ncell apoptosis were noted.<br \/>\nConclusion: The data obtained indicate significant changes in the structure of the<br \/>\nmyocardium and adrenal gland in patients with COVID-19.
