\nThe Open-Air Museum is a division of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The museum features several historical buildings, a collection of archaeological statues and slabs with petroglyphs, as well as ethnographic reconstructions.<\/span>

\nThe walking tour \u201cHow They Built the Sea\u2026\u201d offers a wealth of local history information, memories of old-timers, fascinating stories, photo and video archives, and at the same time, a pleasant walk along the embankment with views of the Ob \u201csea\u201d and a visit to the \u201cChemy\u201d museum.<\/span>

\nTour to Novosibirsk Zoo<\/span>

\nThe Novosibirsk Zoo named after Rostislav Alexandrovich Shilo is one of the largest zoos in Russia. It covers an area of 65 hectares and houses about 12,000 animals of 790 species. More than 350 species are listed in the International Red Book. About 180 species are listed in the Red Book of Russia and Regional Red Books. There are international studbooks for 110 species.<\/span>
\nThe Novosibirsk Zoo is engaged in breeding felines and mustelids and has one of the best collections in the world of representatives of these families. The zoo staff participates in 77 international programs for the conservation of rare and endangered animal species. It is a member of two international unions: EARAZA (Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums) and WAZA (World Association of Zoos and Aquariums); it is also a candidate member of EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquariums). The zoo participates in the international computer program ZIMS.<\/span>
