{"id":690,"date":"2026-02-16T10:41:15","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T07:41:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bgrssb.icgbio.ru\/2026\/?page_id=690"},"modified":"2026-02-16T11:15:37","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T08:15:37","slug":"section_1_2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bgrssb.icgbio.ru\/2026\/en\/section_1_2\/","title":{"rendered":"Section \u201cRegulatory genomics\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">The section \u201cRegulatory genomics\u201d of the symposium \u201cGenomics, transcriptomics and bioinformatics\u201d is devoted to modern advances in the research of mechanisms of regulation of gene expression in pro- and eukaryotes, based on the synergy of high-throughput computational and experimental technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">The central questions of the section \u201cRegulatory genomics\u201d include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">new methods of bioinformatics and computational biology for studying mechanisms of regulation of gene expression at various hierarchical levels of molecular genetic systems functioning: transcription, splicing, translation;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">study of the mechanisms of regulation of gene activity in pro- and eukaryotes on the basis of bioinformatic analysis of results of high-throughput omics experiments, including methods of sequencing RNA and DNA molecules of single cells;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">bioinformatics and computational biology algorithms, from assembly and annotation of genomes and transcriptomes to the search for regulatory elements of genomes and identification of the regulatory role of non-coding RNAs;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">analysis of regulatory sequences and regulatory elements of genomes\/transcriptomes; prediction of gene expression patterns using machine learning methods, including neural networks;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">creation of databases\/knowledge bases\/atlases of molecular phenotypes of organisms, cells, tissues and developmental stages;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">reconstruction of regulatory gene networks and functional annotation of variability of regulatory regions of genomes to assess individual predisposition to pathologies, search for new therapeutic targets, optimization of gene therapy in medicine, and control gene networks to create promising biotechnological producers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The section \u201cRegulatory genomics\u201d of the symposium \u201cGenomics, transcriptomics and bioinformatics\u201d is devoted to modern advances in the research of mechanisms of regulation of gene expression in pro- and eukaryotes, based on the synergy of high-throughput computational and experimental technologies.
