The GMA Network is a Philippine free-to-air television and radio network and is the flagship brand of the publicly traded GMA Media, Inc. On the 29th of October 1961, the first broadcast was made. It is known as the Kapuso Network, after the design of its logo. The logo resembles the shape of a fish. Even though the GMA Network has existed for more fifty years, its new name was only recently made public.

In 2010, the network debuted soaps and shows that were new. In the first quarter, the network launched Te Amo, Maging Sino Ka Man, Hanggang Kailan, and Zorro.
