Lingerie model jailed for high-speed police chase back in court
A lingerie model jailed for smashing a £9,500 BMW into a house after a 90mph police chase has been back in court for stealing cigarettes and alcohol worth £14.75.
Yasmin Louiza Katir, 27, was sentenced to four months in prison and was banned from driving for three years and two months after taking her friend’s car and leading officers on a high-speed chase.
The mother, from Stockton, County Durham, was still subject to supervision for the dangerous driving incident when she walked out of a Sainsbury’s store in Thornaby, North Yorkshire, with a packet of cigarettes and a bottle of alcohol stuffed up her sleeve.

Teesside Magistrates’ Court heard that Katir went to the supermarket on July 24 and asked a member of staff for a packet of cigarettes after stuffing a bottle of alcohol up her jacket sleeve.
Alan Davidson, prosecuting said Katir then ‘left the store without paying’ for the goods, worth £14.75.
Paul McGee, defending Katir, said she was still ‘subject to supervision’ and should have been given credit for her early guilty plea for the ‘low level shop theft’.
He said: ‘She is a lady who, before being sent to prison for dangerous driving, did have a very promising career and was due to start studying teaching at Durham University.
‘Since being sent to prison she has now lost that opportunity.She is trying to rebuild her life.
‘She is the parent of a young child and she is trying to get back to university.’

Katir, of Cornfield Road, Fairfield, Stockton, pleaded guilty to theft from a shop.
Chair of the bench, алкоголь якутск Marion Fitt, handed her a six month conditional discharge.
On May 11, lingerie model Katir was jailed for four months and banned from driving for three years and two months after she took her friend’s £9,500 BMW for two days after he invited her to his home for a social evening.
She later claimed he gave her permission to take the car, but the owner said there was no such agreement.

The BMW was spotted and pursued by police on March 28 and was captured on police in-car video footage at driving of up to 91mph in Thornaby.
CCTV footage showed her fleeing the car, along with a passenger who she claimed egged her on, after smashing it into a house.
Katir, who models lingerie for an online boutique, was visibly shocked to be sent to prison at Teesside Crown Court, putting her head in her hands as a judge delivered a damning critique of her behaviour.
She said as she was led from the dock in May: ‘I’m going to jail?Oh my God. You’re joking.’
