Russian-Chinese Meeting

Workshop “Russian-Chinese Cooperation in the Life Sciences: Experiment, Bioinformatics, and Artificial Intelligence”

The workshop is associated with the International Conference “Bioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Structure/Systems Biology” BGRS/SB-2026 (15th International Multiconference on “Bioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Structure/Systems Biology” – BGRS/SB-2026).

The goal of the workshop is to create a Russian-Chinese scientific and educational space that will contribute to improving the quality of scientific research in the field of life sciences and interdisciplinary research, training a new generation of scientists and teachers, developing advanced technologies, designing joint research and educational programs, and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Russia and China.

Basic Information

Duration: 1.5-2 days.
Date: During the BGRS/SB-2026 Conference (tentatively, within July 7-10, 2026).
Location – Novosibirsk State University.

The program of the working meeting will include:

  1. Presentations by the Russian and Chinese sides on promising areas of joint research in the life sciences and interdisciplinary research (genetics, molecular and cellular biology, biotechnology, medicine, pharmacology, immunology, agrobiotechnology, bioinformatics, systems and structural computational biology, deep machine-learning and artificial-intelligence methods for the analysis of large biological datasets, etc.);
  2. General discussion of joint Russian-Chinese scientific and educational programs in the above areas;
  3. Discussion of mechanisms and forms of cooperation between scientific organizations, research institutes, and universities of Russia and China;
  4. Poster session: presentation of the results of joint work by research institutes and universities of Russia and China;
  5. Cultural program.
