The features of phosphate-accumulating bacteria community formation at alternating aerobic and anaerobic stages of cultivation were investigated using a laboratory SBR-type bioreactor. Using a metagenomic approach, the main metabolic pathways of Ca. Accumulibacter were determined. The results of the work can be used for the development of new effective technologies for wastewater treatment from phosphorus.
