Regulatory Functions of the Upstream Open Reading Frame in mRNA of the MCRS1 Human Gene
This scientific research is devoted to the study of small open reading frames as regulators of mRNA translation. The study is focused on small open reading frames located in the 5' untranslated region of the human MCRS1 gene mRNA. The MCRS1 gene encodes a protein that is extremely important for cell viability; it plays a role in many central processes, such as spindle assembly, regulation of gene function, maintenance of genome stability; moreover, this protein can interact with telomerase complex. This study demonstrates the importance of studying small open reading frames during mRNA translation of this important gene.
